Aseem Foundation Kashmir

Aseem Foundation works for youth and women empowerment. It is an NGO that works in regions near India's borders and where life of the population is affected by conflict, be it political, economic or international. Their volunteers work in these areas with the sole aim of connecting these regions with the rest of India through various means. Aseem Foundation woks to expose youth to various opportunities for development, working also for the economic development of communities through cooperative activities and creating awareness about the ground-level situation in these regions.

Aseem Foundation believes in the power of people, and thus their motto is 'Development through Friendship'. The Foundation has several projects involving the different stratas of communities. These include:

  • Annual students' exchange tours
  • Project Abhilasha
  • e-mentorship
  • An annual education scholarship to students from conflict regions. The Foundation channelise the youth to help their families economically through entrepreneurial ideas and arrange necessary training and provide help for initial setup.
  • Through public lectures, discussions, study camps and letters, Aseem Foundation tries to bridge the gap between the border states of India and the rest of the country.
