Youth centre Livno
Youth Centre Livno is a non-profit NGO formed in early 2000. It organises international volunteer camps, advocates good youth policies and educates people in the region about peace, tolerance, and cross-ethnic and cross-border work.
Overview
Youth centre Livno allows young people and youth activists to become an active part of the development of social life in their communities, by including them in cultural and sporting activities, and introducing them to nature and environmental protection. In the process of non-formal education and volunteer work we are building and promoting a world without national and religious hatred, borders, xenophobia and bad prejudices. This is needed in Livno because the city is very much divided between Bosniaks and Croats.
We have succeeded in creating a better environment in our city and region by re-building communication and productive work between youth from all ethnic and national groups and minorities in our region. Youth centre Livno has organised numerous cross-border activities and local initiatives which have improved the standard of living and standard of thinking amongst the youth and older population.
