Women’s Human Rights Violations

This Nepali initiative seeks to uncover and publicise the truth about human rights violations against women during the conflict and the status of conflict-affected women in the current phase.

Description

The programme was developed to determine the real human rights situation of women in the conflict-affected areas and their needs. The research developed as a policy document and Jagaran Nepal will use it to intervene in the peace process and demonstrate the real situation of women in the district and to argue that they need specific programmes in the post-conflict phase. As part of this programme, Jagaran Nepal also pressure both conflicting parties to respect human rights including women's rights.
