Insight on Conflict would not have been a reality without the generous contribution of numerous people who have bought into the vision of this challenging project and to whom we are immensely grateful.

First and foremost we must thank all the organisations and individuals who have supplied the information.

We thank Albert Beale, Adrianne Blue, Ed Garcia, Jonathan Goodhand, Mark Jones, Jake Lynch, and Andreas Speck for their guidance and precious advice as members of the Steering Committee.

A lot of effort has been put in researching and translating the information populating the site. This is mainly due to the determination of our Local Correspondents who have undertaken the laborious task of contacting and meeting where possible individuals and organisations. They are Nilanjana Premaratna, Luis Gustavo Flórez Cote, Ambika Pokhrel, Damka Pueba, Rasha el Fangry, Alen Jusufovic and Khamis Kabeu, among others. The site would not have been possible without their work.

The Conflict Experts have provided essential insight into the situation on the ground and critical advice on the main trends and dynamics of the conflict and peacebuilding efforts. They are Sanjana Hattotuwa, Mauricio García Duran, Shiva Hari Dahal, Joseph Hurst Croft and Howard Clark, among others. We are indebted for their time, concern and help.

Another pillar of the project has been the researchers, project associates and volunteer translators who have dedicated more time and attention than we could have hoped for. Pranav Budhathoki, Samir Elhawary, Ahmed Elzobier, Lillah Fearnley, Rob Foulkes, Tarig Hashim Hilal, Carolina Hepp, Amel Lakhdari, Jessica Le Masurier, Weitao Liu, Sophie Milner, Simon Phillips, Vivian Nasser, Charlotte Onslow, Will Saunders, Bob Slack, Freddie Yiend, Mike Hills, Mark Vrionides, Kevin Crowley, Susan Morris, Anna Currie, Pierluigi Catilli, Katy Civolani, Miriam Bradley, Lisa Howse, Jose Jaime, and Mladen Ostojic: Thank you.

We received valuable feedback from many people enabling the team to tailor the project to the users’ needs. We greatly appreciate the time given to us by Mike Blair, Mark Brayne, Hazel Chandler, David Loyn, Stuart Morton, Nick Nugent, Mark Polatajko, Christa Rottensteiner, Paul Shulte, Steve Whiting, and Rob Wilkinson.

Last but by no means least, we are thankful to Simon Wilcox, Adeola Awoyemi and Paul Orrock of Digital Craftsmen who, as always, have offered their technical knowledge, vision and skills to make the website come alive.
