Shogara Charitable Association

This self-funded organisation in Dilling conducts conflict resolution between tribes and families, combats illiteracy, and improves herd grazing management.

Overview

This association creates an environment for peace; fights illiteracy; and corrects wrong habits such as drinking unclean water, rearing animals in agriculture areas, and living with animals in the same place as social development.

We utilise voluntary work and create wide relations with other civil society organisations. Our advice for other organisations is to create the spirit of voluntary work which increases cooperation with society.

What Services Are Provided?

  • Workshop on capacity-building for workers in NGOs;
  • Conflict resolution seminars;
  • Opening a school to reduce illiteracy; and
  • One way we achieved peace was through the good idea of giving each group of three families just two animals to rear, to create the principle of participation and to show the importance of peaceful life. You must live peacefully to manage rearing your animals together.
