Paralegal and Human Rights Centre

This organisation's staff are lawyers. They provide legal services, facilitate conflict resolution, and spread knowledge of human rights law and the benefits of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).

Overview

The Paralegal and Human Rights Centre's objectives are to:

What Services Are Provided?

  • Seminars on the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) to give communities a chance to know the legal points the CPA refers to, especially laws which support communities.
  • Open links with the government representative bodies. As lawyers, Paralegal Centre staff can initiate dialogue with government on matters relevant to law, so they can communicate the concerns of the people through this mechanism. Lawyers benefit from this by speaking with the tongue of the citizen in cases that promise to be covered by the government, e.g. IDPs (internally displaced people) needs. Through them the voice of people is heard.
