OAZA Bosniac Association
This Bosniac civil society organisation trains people to address the problems of Kosovan post-war society, especially minority rights and refugee return and reintegration, as well as conducting awareness-raising campaigns.
Overview
Our mission is the development and improvement of civil society in Kosovo; with the particular aim of creating positive integration of the Bosnian community of Kosovo into Kosovo’s new post-war reality.
Accordingly, we have implemented numerous activities and campaigns to increase the level of understanding amongst citizens and the media about problems in our communities and institutions. Our main activities are projects to empower people to create positive solutions to the problems minorities in Kosovo are facing.
Some of our long term projects are:
- School for young journalists;
- Return and reintegration of refugees in Peja region;
- Public debates on cooperation between NGO sector and authorities; and
- Monitoring of public institutions.
In all our projects we take the opportunity to present the Bosnaic point of view to the wider community.

What Further Information Would You Like?
Information regarding donor activities and calls for partnerships; information about possibilities of study visits or volunteer engagement in the EU for youth from this region.
What New Contacts Would You Like To Make?
We focus on four main thematic areas: education, culture, language equality (use of Bosnian language in institutions of the State) and modern development processes in the world. Therefore we are interested in making positive and constructive contacts with NGOs from the UK and EU who are working on solving similar problems. Also we would love to send some of our members to the UK and EU for study visits to engage in shared learning of best practices.
