Janakendrit Bikas Manch (People Centred Development Forum, PCDF)

PCDF has been fighting corruption in Nepal, which they believe is fuelling the conflict.

Overview

PCDF works predominantly on anti–corruption, campaigning through awareness programmes, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, advocacy for social justice and transparency.

The aims and objectives of PCDF are:

  • advocacy for social justice, for example with regard to the caste system;
  • transparency;
  • conflict resolution and peace building;
  • to support human rights protection, good governance, peace and development.

PCDF works against corruption and for transparency, good governance, conflict transformation, human rights and peacebuilding in the district. To raise awareness of peace they have hosted a peace conference. Corruption is rampant in Nepal and PCDF believes that this has been fuelling the conflict. In response to this they have launched an anti-corruption movement as part of the establishment of peace.
