Green Peace Campaign has been working for the protection and promotion of human rights since 1996. It has expanded its areas of work to include the establishment of peace, as the impact of conflict has been immense, and most of the victims have been civilians. Currently, the organisation is running a programme focusing on human rights and peace.
The aims of the organisation are:
GPC has also been working to raise awareness of the causes of armed conflict in Nepal, and to promote non-violent means of conflict resolution. This has involved coordinated activities by the conflicting parties to address local issues, in the belief that there can be no military solution to the conflict. The organisation has also been providing rehabilitation services, especially legal assistance, to the conflict victims.
Training and workshops on human rights and conflict transformation and peacebuilding; interaction and awareness programmes; conferences, meetings and rallies.
