Fundación Cristianos por la Paz

This Christian organisation works in several different areas in its attempts to achieve peace in Colombia. They mediate discussions between guerilla groups, create small rural social projects and have established a bakery to help vunerable children who have been affected by the conflict.

Overview

Fundación Cristianos por la Paz was created to work for peace through social development and for the resolution of conflicts through establishing respect for human rights. They have been able to positively affect the actors in the Colombian conflict by bringing them together in negotiations and encouraging constructive dialogues.

This organisation hopes to work until a lasting peace has been achieved in Colombia. It also would encourage others in their situation to focus on the core problems of the armed conflict from an impartial and objective view point and to work for compromises between groups, without being influenced by any particular actor.
