Centre for Education, Travnik

Centre for Education Travnik runs multi-ethnic programmes for young people to rebuild and reintegrate divided communities.

Overview

The Centre for Education Travnik runs a humanitarian programme of youth work in conflict damaged communities. We work with young people, civil organisations and government institutions in fields of culture, education, youth work and youth policy. Our long term aims are to widen the possibilities for youth and to motivate them to take responsibilities for themselves and their communities.

Our organisation has achieved a lot when dealing with post-war conflicts and traumas. We have managed to implement many projects in this region which have created multi-ethnic work groups of young people who are willing to rise above their religious and other small differences and to work together to better their communities. My advice to all organisations which are involved in peacebuilding is to ever give up and continue your work because it is very much needed.
