Women's Peace Movement

The broad aim of this initiative is to empower women by improving their capacity to work as peacebuilders. The organisation hopes that initial work at the grassroots level in Nepal will expand to the international arena.

Description

The programme has been developed to empower women and increase their capability in using all the tools and techniques of conflict transformation and peacebuilding. It also aims to increase their awareness of women's rights. The initiative involves empowering women on their rights; developing good networks for peace from grassroots to international level; providing advocacy training to women at all levels on mediation, negotiation and facilitation skills; and capacity building with regard to active peacebuilding during the conflict and post-conflict period.

Aims / Objectives

To make a peace movement from the grassroots to the international level, led by women, for women.
