Achievements / Learning Points

CENTHUR conducted an interaction programme on various aspects of peace and conflict with representatives from  different sectors, political parties, castes, classes, occupations and those not in the mainstream of national politics and development at the village and district levels. The result of the interaction programme was the development of the belief that a holistic and inclusive approach should be taken to resolve the Maoist conflict.

They document and disseminate information on human rights violations related to the conflict regularly and put pressure on the parties concerned, urging them not to harm civilians and to respect human rights. In addition they have assisted the resettlement of conflict victims.
