Re-integration of the Serbian minority in Belo Polje

Facilitating the return of Serbian refugees to their former homes is an important part of transitional justice in Kosovo, and provides a strong example of peaceful inter-ethnic living for the region. It sends the message to other refugees that it is safe enough for them to return as well.

Reconstruction of the Doboj Castle

Doboj Castle is a symbol of the shared Serbian and Bosniak cultural heritage. The common work on its reconstruction unites a town that straddles the Serbian and Federation entities, and will also improve the tourist potential of the region.

Research Studies and Conflict Monitoring

This research-based initiative builds a better understanding of conflict and democracy in Nepal, and uses the results of its studies to influence policy makers and other key players. The initiative's researchers also monitor conflict to develop early warning systems and intervention strategies.

Restocking Peace Committee

The aim of this initiative is to prevent conflict breaking out over livestock issues in Samburu district. It runs restocking meetings to help those who lost livestock through drought, and uses these events to increase the pastoralist's commitment to peaceful living.

Revolving Loan Fund for Families Affected by the War

A programme of training and funding to allow families to gain financial stability and useful vocations caused by war. The programme also encourages community-building by supporting different ethnicities working along side each other.

Road and Drinking water provision for a Multi ethnic village

This initiative brought together the two different ethnic communities within a village to unite them on a single project. By working together to achieve a new road and access to drinking water the two seperate groups were able to realise they both want and need the same things; regardless of different ethnic backgrounds. This understanding is fundamental to achieving peace.
