Insight on Conflict is Peace Direct’s resource on local peacebuilders. Our belief is that in any conflict in the world, local people are working to find solutions, but unfortunately their efforts get all-too-little attention. We hope that Insight on Conflict can help redress somewhat the balance, but show who these local peacebuilders are, and what they do.

Note for journalists

Our Local Correspondents have excellent contacts with civil society groups and peacebuilders in each conflict zone. If you’d like any further information on any story here, or would like help with covering that region, please let us know.

Note for researchers

Many of the groups featured on Insight on Conflict do not have their own websites – we pride ourselves on finding information on groups that otherwise do not receive exposure online. This however means that they can be difficult to contact. If you want further information on any group featured here, please let us know, and our Local Correspondents will be happy to help.

Survey

Insight on Conflict has recently been relaunched (September 2009). We hope in the coming months to continue to build on the information we have on the site – by providing interesting stories on peacebuilders in the featured regions, and by expanding to include a wider range of conflicts.
