Development Programme for Peace
The initiative raises awareness of non-violent means of conflict resolution, and emphasises the importance of the role of women in the Nepali peace process.
The programme has developed with the realisation that many civilians have been victimised by conflict and that to achieve lasting peace, rehabilitation and the ability to sustain themselves economically on a permanent basis is essential. WDSC believes that to achieve holistic peace, awareness of non-violent means of conflict resolution from the local level is essential.
The organisation aims to support and rehabilitate conflict victims' families and to sustain them economically through income generation activities.
