The vision of Conflict Resolution by Youth – Uganda (CRY-Uganda) is of a new generation committed to non-violence. Its mission is to integrate young people in Uganda into a culture of pursuing non-violent resolution of conflicts.

CRY’s activities are implemented through peace clubs in secondary and tertiary institutions such as Arise Uganda Club, Lira Comprehensive Youth Peace Club, Integrated SS Ngora Peace Club, Musicians without Borders-Uganda Chapter, Macedonia Jazz Band (Soroti), Bisina Jazz Band (Kumi) and St. Elizabeth Girls Peacemakers club (Soroti), among many more. Some of our documentaries that we have shown include A Force More Powerful, Child Soldiers, In The Company of Fear, International Day for Peace 2004 Documentary, and Women Speaking Out in the Pacific Asia.

Our current activities include debating, capacity-building and consultancy; non-violent conflict resolution, management training and education programmes, cross-cultural and cross-border youth co-operation and, exchanges, peace research, HIV/AIDS and peacebuilding, music/theatre for peace and creative traditional psychosocial programmes.

Founded in 1999, Conflict Resolution by Youth (CRY) – Uganda is a 2001-registered (Reg. No. S. 5914/3555) NGO in Uganda founded by young people for young people.
