Together Art Centre aims to help build peace in Sudan by bringing together conflicting groups through the promotion of Sudanese art and culture. The centre provides a neutral space for people from different groups and often IDPs from areas such as Darfur to interact. By sharing their knowledge and skills of local crafts with each other, the centre allows for the development of shared understanding and respect. In addition the centre also supports children with special needs via specialist-led workshops.

Handmade Craft Workshops

Through these craft workshops in Dar El Salam, the Together Art Centre brings together women, often IDPs from war-torn Darfur, from different conflicting tribes and helps them work together on handmade items and craftwork, giving the women the chance to experience the benefits of cooperation, peace and overcoming tribal conflict.
