Established in 2001, The Organisation for Rural Women’s Development now have 180 people working in the field of peacebuilding in all localities of Blue Nile State. They work on general development issues that support the economic development of rural women in the Blue Nile State, but have also undertaken seminars on conflict resolution, and have held trainings on the concept of peace in Islamic thinking.

They have partnerships with the Mubidaroon organisation and also the Hawaa organisation in Kurkuk.
