SPARC provides a focal point within the Sri Lankan University system to integrate research, teaching, training, policy analysis and advocacy on critical areas of social and economic development. It perceives the conflict as a main obstacle to the social and economic development of the country and, with the intention of finding alternative ways of addressing the conflict, facilitates close collaboration between academics and institutions outside the university system, including governmental as well as non-governmental agencies that deal with issues related to social policy.

National Youth Survey

SPARC are currently undertaking a survey of young people nationwide, including in the North and East, in order to gather information that will inform the development of a national youth policy under the government’s Youth Ministry.
