The Peace Studies & Conflict Resolution (PPSCR) programme, based at Karachi University, provides training in confidence-building measures, conflict resolution and peace studies, with the objective of forging a network of the individuals and institutions committed to peace in South Asia.

The PPSCR organises national and regional conferences, and workshops on conflict resolution, research and regional peacebuilding in South Asia. Some of the events the PPSCR have organised include a regional workshop on ‘Restructuring of SAARC’, a workshop on ‘Early Warning System: Potential for Crisis Management and Regional Cooperation’. The programme also supports research into peacebuilding and conflict issues, and will soon launch a MA in Peace and Conflict Studies in collaboration with the United Nations University for Peace.
