Based in the Multan region of Pakistan, the Organisation for Development & Peace (ODP) works at the grassroots level with projects focusing on human rights, peace and democracy in Pakistan. The ODP has implemented the following main projects: Advocacy Campaign for Restoration of Peace & Democracy; Human Rights Education Program for Grassroots Communities for Social Transformation; and Raising Critical Awareness on Human Rights for Promoting Peace Centred Society.

The programmes follow the value of critical empowerment through discussion, seminars and interactive theatre performances, as well emphasising the capacity-building of communities through workshops and training programmes.

To foster inter-faith harmony in Pakistan, ODP has initiated projects on ‘Social & Inter-religious Harmony’ and ‘Public Debate on Promoting Culture of Peace & Tolerance’ through seminars and theatre performances on peace and tolerance in Multan. Most recently ODP has been working in the area of humanitarian assistance for the victims of conflict in the Swat valley, as many of them have been displaced due to military operations.
