Athwaas operates across Indian-administered Kashmir, establishing centres of reconciliation to build peace in the region.

Child Nurture and Relief (CHINAR)

CHINAR works with orphans and vulnerable young people affected by the conflict in Kashmir, irrespective of race, religion or ethnic background.

Humanity Welfare Organization Helpline

Human Welfare Organization Helpline works for the rights of physically challenged children. Its founder was shot by political militants in Kashmir.

Institute of Peace & Development (INSPAD)

The Institute of Peace & Development (INSPAD) operates as a think-tank and peacebuilding organisation in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. They organise events and discussions on issues of peace and development, with a focus on the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan.

International Resource Centre (IRC)

Based in the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, IRC aims to create an interactive learning zone to allow people to develop an awareness and interest in peace and conflict resolution. It is the first initiative of its kind in Pakistan, and its facilities are available to civil society.

Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR)

Based in Pakistan but with links across the Line of Control in Kashmir, KIIR aims to encourage dialogue on issues of peace, with special reference to the Kashmir dispute.

Kashmir International Research Centre (KIRC)

KIRC has been researching, collecting media reports and stories on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir for over five years. Their website, 'Kashmir Watch', is a portal for news, views and opinions with background information on Kashmir.

Peace Foundation

Based in Azad Kashmir, the foundation focuses its work in the fields of environment, education and social awareness.

Press for Peace

Press for Peace (PFP) is a media and advocacy organisation based in Azad Kashmir that strives to promote peace, tolerance, interfaith harmony and the protection of human rights in Kashmir and more broadly in South Asia.

Right to Information Movement

Women in Security, Conflict Management and Peace (WISCOMP)

Based in Delhi but operating through South Asia, including Kashmir, WISCOMP's aim is to promote women to positions of leadership in all aspects of peace, security and international affairs.

Yakjah Reconciliation and Development Network

Yakjah Reconciliation and Development Network work with youth divided across regional, ethnic, religious, ideological and political fault lines in Kashmir.

Youth Parliament of Jammu and Kashmir (YPJK)

Youth Parliament of Jammu and Kashmir is an organisation of young, dynamic, imaginative and innovative young people promoting peace Jammu and Kashmir.
