The Tubiyage Association (Tubiyage means ‘let’s talk about it’) was established in 2001 and aimed at sensitising and educating the population about forgiveness, reconciliation, human rights, democracy and good governance. Tubiyage promotes peacebuilding and conflict resolution through theatres as a means of communication and dialogue.

Theatres of Tubiyage Association are based on daily realities and challenges of local communities and seek to raise awareness on social, economic and political challenges affecting the populations and to show that local and negotiated communities’ solutions are better than external or imposed ones. The association comprises actors from diverse theatrical groups performing in Bujumbura.
