A programme to mitigate the effects of Nepal's armed conflict on children by providing them with access to basic services.

Description

KIRDARC launched this programme after realising that children affected by conflict and their families need immediate humanitarian relief services and a feeling of security.

Aims / Objectives

The Centre aims to mitigate the effects of armed conflict particularly on children, and ensure the provision of educational and health services for them.

How it is Articulated

Education and health services and immediate humanitarian relief services to the families of the conflict victims.

Achievements / Learning Points

The programme has been implemented with the concept of 'Children as Zones of Peace'. With the establishment of the 'Child Protection Information System' it has ensured the basic education and health rights of children.
