Commentary Improving peacebuilding evaluation – bringing some ideas ‘to the field’
They are rare, but every once in awhile there is a moment where the thought-practice cycle becomes real. I was recently in a room, ‘in the field’, with representatives from ten peacebuilding organizations. These were organizations doing the hard work of peacebuilding, at the grassroots level, under very difficult circumstances. Andrew Blum
Andrew Blum joined the Grant Program at the US Institute of Peace in September 2008. He has managed grantmaking initiatives focused on Sudan, Nigeria, and media and peacebuilding. In January 2012, he was appointed USIP's Director of Learning and Evaluation. Prior to joining USIP, Andrew worked at the University of Maryland where he directed both the ICONS Project and the undergraduate Minor in International Development and Conflict Management.
